Product details

High-silica antiscalant for RO/NF plants. Controls silica/silicate scaling, stabilizes flux, and reduces CIP frequency. Polyamide-compatible.

9+ High Silica RO Antiscalant is a specialized scale-inhibitor formulated to control silica and silicate deposition (including iron/ferric silicate) in RO/NF systems. Designed for high-silica borewell and industrial feed waters, it helps maintain permeate quality, keep ΔP in check, and extend time between CIP—when dosed correctly and used with proper pretreatment.

Typical dosing

  • Feed pH control often improves silica handling—aim pH 6.5–7.5 before RO.

  • Starting dose: 4–8 ppm (mg/L, as supplied); adjust by monitoring ΔP, normalized permeate flow, and concentrate silica.

  • Guide (concentrate silica):

    • ≤120 mg/L → 4–5 ppm

    • 120–180 mg/L → 5–7 ppm

    • 180–220 mg/L → 7–8 ppm

    • 220 mg/L → Consult 9+ tech support

  • Pre-dilution: Add to clean water and feed via a dedicated dosing line on the RO feed.

  • Do not mix with oxidants/biocides; ensure free chlorine <0.1 ppm before membranes.

Where to use
Municipal/industrial RO plants, packaged-water lines, and high-silica borewell applications. Industrial/process use only; not for domestic RO.
